The NFL 2012 regular season has now gotten underway, and before you know it, the season is going to be over and the Super Bowl is going to be on our doorstep. It’s never too early to start thinking about who might be the halftime performer this year. Another lip-synched group? Another wardrobe malfunction? Not if the event planners make a wise decision. Willie Nelson and Friends.

I have watched decades of Super Bowl halftime shows which have been terrible. It’s time to have actual performers which don’t depend on special effects or lip syncing in order to pull off a great performance. It’s time to put one of the most prolific song writers in US music history on the main stage, Willie Nelson.

I started this campaign to get Willie front and center in the Big Game back in February. The original article was picked up by local media in the Austin, Texas area, I actually did  few radio interviews about my initiative back in the spring.

I am not backing off my decision, but I am adding another group to Willie on the center stage of the Super Bowl- Alison Krauss and Union Station. A Super Bowl halftime show which actually would be made up of musicians who can sing without having their voices enhanced. Unique.

The Super Bowl halftime show decision will be made soon, you can voice your opinion if you agree on Willie and Allison as the halftime show, call the NFL Special Events Department. Call today, we cannot afford another failed, lousy halftime show during the Super Bowl.
