(Sorry, I couldn’t figure out the camera, and pictures aren’t very good.)

Dave Matthews sat like this through most of it, so focused on what was being said.

Paul English is acknowledged for his work for Farm Aid over the years.

Each of these board members spoke briefly about Farm Aid and their involvement, some history and the continued need for the services Farm Aid provides.  Farm Aid President Caroline Mugar spoke about how Far Aid continues to help farmers thrive, and promotes food from family farmers.  She introduced Mass. governor Deval Patrick, who welcomed Farm Aid and spoke of the importance of farming in Mass.
Frances Moore Lappe is a democracy advocate, and author of the book Diet for a Small Planet, which some 40 years ago she predicted our current hunger and food crises. She was invited to speak at the press conference about the importance of good food and the importance of farmers.
Boston-based radio and television personality Jim Braude hosted the program, and introduced farmers, and others involved in Farm Aid, who spoke about how Farm Aid supports farmers.
