Willie Nelson invited friends and family to his ranch in Texas on Wednesday (10/17/07) to the first annual Bad Boy Lawn Mower Race. The race was filmed as part of the music video for Willie’s new song, “You Don’t Think I’m Funny Anymore,” with Willie are Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Jessica Simpson, Dan Rather, Andrew Wilson, and Paula Nelson.
Friends and Willie Nelson fans KG, Ruth, and Jan (RailRoadLady) all from Texas, got to go to the special occasion, and KG took these great pictures and said I could post them here.

This looks like so much fun. I love Willie Nelson because of how active he is in protesting current issues like the Iraq War and supporting important things like Farm Aid. I loved the patch on Jessica Simpson’s jacket that said “Fedup!” YOU ROCK WILLIE!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being you. It’s not very often anymore that people just say what’s on their mind. You say what you say and you do what you do without being afarid what other people will say. Thank you for being you and standing up for what you believe in. As well as being a good friend. I’m sure in your line of work lots of people jump ship when someone they know “has problems” just so they don’t get “dritty”. I admire that in you.

I’ve thought Willie was the coolest since seeing him on the willie and family live tour in1979. The band sighned autographs before the show. I went right out and bought the album. Still rates high on my list as a great piece of musical work. Willie always a thinker, giver, and rebel. You just have to love the guy!
I grew up loving Willie, and love to see how much fun and what a sense of humor he has, he brings people together from so many different areas and makes them laugh.. COME TO ALASKA WILLIE!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a fan of Willie since I first heard his music. It would be great meet him, and race in the Bad Boy and Bad Girl Race.
