My brother passed away yesterday. He had a sudden heart attack and died almost instantly. He was raising his three teen-aged grandkids. It is a sad day in the Banks family. Our aunt, who brother Bob and I were caring for, passed away two weeks ago at the age of 84; we were all still grieving her. We are devastated. Still, we are spending the day cooking way too much food, loving and supporting each other, expressing gratitude for each other and those who have passed. I am so sad; it just brings up every other loss.
Bob died at home, on his way out to feed his chickens, pheasants, quail that he raises, with his boots on and gun in his pocket. He would have hated being in a hospital, I know that.
Hug someone you love today. Life is precious, and precarious.
I hug you, Linda and wish you and your family lots of strength. I don’t have words for what happened to you and your family the last weeks. It’s so sad. You are in my thoughts all the time. Love, Monique.
Linda, I’m so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you. When it rains it pours and I’m so sad to hear this has happened. Give my best to the rest of your family.
And thanks for the reminder we should all give thanks. We all need to hear that.
Linda, So sorry to hear that. I lost my husband on thanksgiveng day 1995 with an heart attack. And my Sister that same night. So I know
what you are going though, I am praying for you and your family.
Please know we all care, God Bless,
Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your brother’s untimely passing. I lost my mother suddenly and I know it is so hard on everyone when it is unexpected. I know how close you were to him. Please know you are in my thoughts. May all of you have the strength you will need to face the days ahead. Here’s a BIG hug from me. Love, Pat
Thank you all for your kindness, and for sharing your stories. Right now it’s impossible to imagine a life without Bob in our lives, but your stories show that somehow life continues. I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers. We are all having a very hard time. He was our rock.
I am so sorry to hear about another loss in your family….If there is anything I can do for you, or if you just want to talk to someone, know that I am here…elaine
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this terribly sad time. I do hope you find comfort and strength from those around you, including all your friends on s-i-s-m… some you know, and some you’ve yet to know!
