Happy Birthday today to Willie Nelson & Family crew member Kenny Koepke.
Earlier this year, Kenny was honored by his peers with this tasteful certificate of achievement. (Bee Spears said the frame alone cost him $.01. He bought one for $4.99 and for a penny more they gave him two frames). Also, he received a priceless ‘Sing Along With Mitch Miller’ album and a rare ’Captain and Tennille’ album. It was very moving, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. I heard they were making a made-for-television movie about the event, but I don’t know when it will be out.
And Happy birthday to bus driver Tony Sizemore, Willie Nelson’s bus driver, who also celebrates his birthday on September 28th. Tony has worked for Willie Nelson and Family for over twenty-five years. That’s a lot of miles!
