Slow Money’s fourth National Gathering, taking place April 29-30 in Boulder, Colorado. I’ll be speaking at the conference, bringing Farm Aid’s perspective on creating a family farm-centered system of agriculture to the Slow Money audience.
Slow Money connects farmers, entrepreneurs, investors, philanthropists and activists, to build local and national networks that catalyze the flow of capital to small food enterprises and local food systems. More than $6 million has been invested in 21 food enterprises that have presented at the previous three national gatherings. And over the past few years, 16 chapters have been formed around the country, facilitating $15 million of investing in more than 160 food enterprises at the local level.
This event is an important opportunity for us to share, learn together and continue building momentum for this important collective undertaking.
