Sirius/XM will re-broadcast their Town Hall With Willie Nelson, hosted by Johnny Knoxville

Willie Nelson and Johnny Knoxville

Johnny Knoxville was the perfect host for Sirius/XM’s Town Hall With Willie Nelson yesterday.  He’s such a Willie Nelson fan, he was tongue-tied, and he is so cute and such a consumate entertainer, everybody loves him.  I listened on the radio at work, like most everyone did except the lucky few (I think they said 15,  but must have been more) who got to be in the NYC audience,  made up of  lucky Sirius/XM subscribers from the area who won a contest to attend  and ask Willie Nelson questions.

It sounded like they were reading questions prepared in advance and handed out in advance, but I may be wrong.    (But, I was at work, and distracted by what I was supposed to be working on.  I am going to catch a re-broadcast!)  The questions were good, maybe  better than  letting us fans ramble on about how much we  love him and would he mind listening to a song our uncle wrote.  I know it’s hard to blame us, when you get that chance to  talk with Willie Nelson, you can’t control yourself, even if you know better.   But the questions were all good, thoughtful, and really let us get to learn more about Willie Nelson.   Johnny Knoxville was the professional, kept things moving along with good humor, played some Willie Nelson music, asked questions about Willie’s new album, new book, recordings he is working on, old albums — great questions.

Thanks, Sirius/XM, for continued coverage and showcasing of Willie Nelson, with such love and respect.  We fans are grateful!
