AMSTERDAM. Country Music icon Willie Nelson and entertainer Snoop Dogg have purchased a coffee shop in Amsterdam. The two long-time friends have performed at each other’s concerts, recorded albums together, have now announced their latest collaboration.
With their latest business venture, the two will jump into the lucrative and controversial operate a coffee shop in Amsterdam. Under the drug policy of the Netherlands, the sale of cannabis products in small quantities is allowed by ‘licensed’ coffee shops, and while the government has attempted to close them to tourists, they still remain a draw for international visitors each year.
The location of the cafe has not been announced, but a fall grand opening is in the works.
