We learned that Don passed away a few weeks ago. Here he is wearing the bandanna Willie tossed him at Carl’s Corner, November 9, 2010.
Bunny and her son were at Farm Aid, and everyone missed seeing Don there, too. He loved Willie Nelson & Family and he and Bunny travelled all over the country to see them play.

I am still having hard time believing he is gone. Have thought about him several times this week. He was truly a devoted Willie fan. RIP, Don and My thoughts are with Bunny as she continues life without her traveling partner.
Me, too, Pat. They were everywhere, Colorado, Texas, Farm Aids. Lived live doing what he enjoyed — an inspiration for us all!
I am so sad to hear this.Seeing Bunny and Don at a show was always heart warming.Like two bright sun rays.Last time I saw Bunny she told me Don wasn’t feeling well,I believe he had just had surgery.They truly were everywhere,I ran into them at many East coast shows.My thoughts and prayers are with Bunny,too.
It was, JoJo. He would have surgery and the show up at a show on the weekend. He was a trooper.
This breaks our hearts, so sad. Enjoyed being with ya’ll at concerts over the years. He was a very special family member and I bet that Willie will miss him as much as the rest of us.
