This is one the new shirts being sold by the Frank Brothers, at Scooterville, their travelling Willie Nelson store.
If you are lucky enough to go see Willie Nelson on this leg of his tour, make sure you stop by Scooterville to see all the cool shirts, bandannas, posters, hats, and more they have for sale. This is one of the new ones they had at the Fillmore Shows. I don’t know if they have any left, but they are long sleeved and oh so comfortable. (Yeah, I got one.)
And a word to the wise, don’t wait until after the show — get your goodies on your way in. They often run out of the venue shirts and posters. Plus, if Willie signs autographs from the stage, like he often does, you can see if you can have him autograph your new purchase. I know, you want to keep it nice, and don’t want to put it under your chair. But really, if it gets soaked in beer, by the time the concert’s over, you won’t mind a bit. You will be grinning ear-to-ear and nothing can bother you.
now i like seeing this image.
willie SHOULD be on a postage stamp. he’s that important.
and by the way, linda, thank you for the e-mail the other day (re: my trip to texas). it’s much appreciated.
I agree. Scooter told me that you can’t put a living person on a postage stamp; they have to be dead for a certain number of years. So I’m happy to wait for that to happen.
You are welcome for the response. Sorry I don’t have more information. Have fun! It’d be nice if you could see a show while you are around there.
maybe willie can be on other countries’ postage stamps. that happens all the time.
as for the u.s.a., i’ll happily wait another 75 years.
i was hoping to stop by the abbott methodist church on sunday morning (during my trip). i just hope they’re having services that day.
Yeah, Mike, I have seen foreign stamps with Willie’s picture. I think I have one somewhere.
Next service at Abbott Methodist Church is this Sunday, February 15,2009.
Hope to see ya there.
Stephen,
Thank for letting us know!
