We are hiring long term full and part time retail employees; you decide which of our current job opening(s) works best for you.
We’re a 38 year old family owned Nashville tourist and retail destination offering a huge gift shop along with a great country music museum. We pride ourselves on providing great customer service – with every customer every time.

3 full time shifts available –  (1st) 8 am to 4:30 pm  (2nd) 10 am to 6:30 pm (3rd) 1 pm to 9:30 pm  – some flexibility in days of week/weekends.  1 Part time Position Available – Some flexibility required in hours & days of week/weekends

Responsibilities:
Greet, assist & check out customers
Balance Cash Drawer
Dependable, trustworthy & ability to show up as scheduled
Help customers locate the right products
Refill and replenish inventory as needed
Light cleaning to keep store looking good

Qualifications:
1 year Retail Sales or Cashier Experience
Retired people looking for a second career or extra income are always welcome
Will consider hospitality background or other customer service work
Positive, enthusiastic attitude and ability to work with public
Knowledge of Nashville area & Country Music are very helpful

All positions pay a minimum of $10 to $12 per hour depending on experience, includes 1 week of paid vacation after 1 year of service. Performance bonus opportunities are available. Also, we have FREE parking.

The Willie Nelson and Friends General Store & Museum was founded July 4th, 1979 in Madison, TN with Willie’s good friends Frank and Jeanie Oakley as the storekeepers.  The General Store began life as a local art & picture framing store that Willie frequented often while visiting his friends in nearby Ridgetop, Tennessee.

“Thank you” to all of you who’ve supported the Willie Nelson and Friends General Store and Museum throughout the years. Because of you we’ve reached a great milestone and are now the oldest, continuously operated country music artist Museum and souvenir shop in Nashville!

Not only will you see hundreds of Willie Nelson?s personal items but also those of his many friends including Patsy Cline, Faron Young, Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, Webb Pierce, Loretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Kenny Rogers, Dottie West, Mel Tillis, Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, Ronnie Milsap, Jeannie Seely, David Frizzell, Shelly West, Lefty Frizzell and many others.
The museum tour showcases an ?All Star? line-up of some of traditional country music?s greatest stars! As we all know, Willie Nelson is truly a one-of-a-kind. We’ve heard lots and lots of stories over the past 31 years from fans who’ve had the opportunity to meet Willie. In each case they always mention what a great person (and musician, of course) that he really is and they’re always delighted to say he’s so “down to earth”.

Because the stories are so interesting, we’d thought it would be fun to let those who’ve met Willie tell you their story. So, if you’ve met Willie Nelson and would like to share that experience with other fans – here’s your chance to tell your story!

There?s a lot to see and feel during your Willie Nelson and Friends Museum experience but here?s just a few of the exhibits you?ll see:

— Willie Nelson?s first Martin guitar that he used when he debuted on the Grand Ole Opry in November of 1963. We also have his signed paycheck from that night – his take home pay was a whopping $11.71!

— Willie?s 1979 CMA ?Entertainer of the Year Award? – Country Music?s highest honor.

— Famous ?Nudie of Hollywood? rhinestone suits worn by Porter Wagoner and Webb Pierce.

— Handwritten diaries and personal items that belonged to the great Patsy Cline.

— Ronnie Milsap?s autographed one-of-a-kind Playboy magazine that is printed completely in braille.

— Concert outfits worn by Kenny Rogers, Jeannie Seely, Barbara Mandrell, Ronnie Milsap, Dottie West and others.

— Famous artifacts and clothing worn by Willie Nelson, Mel Tillis and Marty Stuart while filming various big screen movies such as ?Barbarosa? and the ?Red Headed Stranger.?

This is a self guided tour however each guest is provided a comprehensive four page guide upon admission that describes each of the individual showcases and exhibits featured throughout the museum. You are also welcome to take photographs during your journey.
