Willie Nelson was born in Abbott, Texas, on April 30, 1933.  He is a writer, artist and a performer.  He is under long-time contract to RCA Victor.

Some of the songs Willie has written are “Touch Me”, “Night Life”, “I just Can’t Let You Say Goodbye”, “Funny How Time Slips Away”, “Family Bible”, “Crazy”, “Hello Walls”, “Half a Man”, “Pretty Paper”, “Congratulations”, “The Party’s Over”, and many others.

Willie Nelson is a special kind of artist.  He is an entertainer, and a song writer himself.  Therefore, Willie has special appreciation for other song writers.  His treatment of their songs makes them seem almost new and more appealing than ever.

As an artist Willie can hypnotize a complete audience.  It has been said that Willie Nelson is an entertainer’s entertainer.  At almost any big Auditorium Show you will find the other stars waiting in the wings to catch Willie Nelson at work.  Willie Nelson is one of the world’s accomplished guitar players, and he accompanies himself as no other guitar player could do.

Willie Nelson has a loyal group of followers called “Nelson’s Navy” that follow him wherever he goes.  Willie Nelson is considered one of the most likeable and friendliest singers in show business.

Willie Nelson carries a five-piece Nashville dance and show band featuring Johnny Bush and Jimmy Day, who are stars within their own right.  It has been said that Willie Nelson’s band is the best dance band to come out of Nashville in many a year.  They dress in semi-formal tuxedos and feel equally at home on the stage of the biggest auditorium, in a Country Dance hall or in the finest Country Club.

Songs written by Willie Nelson and recorded by other performers are numerous.  They include such stars as Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Edie Gorme, Frank Sinatra, Ray Price and Faron Young.
