After headlining Farm Aid at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in September, Willie Nelson’s ready to be on the road again back to Wisconsin.

The living legend will be at the Riverside Theater on April 29 — the day he turns 87 years old.

It will actually be the fourth Wisconsin appearance in less than a year’s time — and also his most intimate.

Last summer he headlined Summerfest’s American Family Insurance Amphitheater as part of the Outlaw Music Festival. Then last August, he played the Resch Center in Green Bay. (By comparison to the amphitheaters and arena, the capacity at the Riverside Theater is 2,500.)

Tickets for Nelson’s Milwaukee return are available beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at the box office (116 W. Wisconsin Ave.), the Pabst Theater box office (144 E. Wells St.), by calling (414) 286-3663, or visiting pabsttheater.org. Prices have yet to be announced.
