It’s been a star-studded week at Willie Nelson’s Western Town – the movie set outside his Pedernales home.

Jessica Simpson, Dan Rather, Owen and Luke Wilson and country legend Ray Price were among the celebrities making cameos in a video for Willie’s new tune, She Don’t Think I’m Funny Anymore.

Nelson, 74, will be heading to Austin on Friday to receive a lifetime achievement award from University of Texas’ Project on Conflict Resolution.

“I think a lot more people these days are thinking about peace. Because they’re beginning to see that we all need to start thinking about it … If everybody thinks about it at one time, it’s gotta happen,” he said.

The Willie Nelson Peace Institute will receive the inaugural Bridging Divides award for Willie Nelson’s support of Farm Aid and promoting biodiesel, called Bio Willie.”I’ve been involved with farmers and biodiesel, but all that has to do with the same thing. It all has to do with us not having to go around the world looking for energy when we have it here at home. And we don’t have to start wars for it,” Nelson said.
