The Wynton Marsalis website, at www.wyntonmarsalis.org, has posted that a DVD will be released of the concert performed by Willie Nelson, Mickey Raphael, Wynton Marsalis and his group a year ago last January. The concert was part of the Jazz at Lincoln Center series. It was announced last month that the cd would be released in June, and now we learn the great news about the DVD. This is one concert that you want to see, not just hear. And Mickey is all dressed up.
They have posted a little teaser video on youtube that will knock your socks off. No firm date of the DVD’s release; maybe late summer, fall.
