“In 2010, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Monument Records founder Fred Foster were honored by Leadership Music. Vince Gill hosted the show. Lyle Lovett sang a Kristofferson song. I presented Kris with the award. Guy showed up and surprised all of us. He came close to dying just a couple of months before this and none of us could believe he got in the car and drove himself downtown. I love this picture.
