Willie Nelson, Last of Breed Show in Sevierville, TN (8/21/07)

SEVIERVILLE – Smokies Stadium in Sevierville will be host to a “Last Of The Breed” concert Aug. 21 featuring Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Ray Price.

Reserved and general admission tickets for the concert will go on sale at 9 a.m. June 9 at the stadium, all Tickets Unlimited outlet locations, by phone at 1-877-995-9961, locally at 656-4444, or at www.concertsinthesmokies.com. Tickets are $49 each plus service charges for reserved seats on the field and $40 plus service charges for reserved seats in the regular baseball seats. In addition, general admission tickets will be available on the field behind the reserved seating areas (festival seating with no chairs) for $31 plus service charges.

The stage will be set behind second base on the grass with on field-reserved seating located between the pitcher’s mound and the stage. General admission ticket holders may bring a blanket and see the show on the field in designated areas other than in field-reserved seating. Stadium policy does not allow outside chairs. Nelson began his career as a country deejay in the mid-’50s. As a songwriter and performer he has won Grammy Awards, a President’s Merit Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award.

Price will open the evening followed by Haggard. Nelson’s performance will end the evening.
