Willie Nelson sings for Sue, in Sioux City

 

This is one of the great pictures taken by daughter Lana Nelson posted with other pictures of Willie Nelson and Family and Friends at www.willienelson.com.  It’s always a treat to read Lana’s stories about life on the road with the her dad and the band.

I heard that Willie sang “Sioux City Sue” at the concert in Sioux City, and I know there was some fan out in the audience named Sue who was just going crazy, believing he was singing it just for her.  (sigh).  I know I’d go crazy if I heard him sing ‘Linda’ in concert, but I’m happy he recorded the song (just for me) and I can listen to it.

    I think this is actually from a PNC center in NJ show.See that sweet girl giving Willie a portrait she drew? That is too cute!

    Thanks, JoJo, I didn’t know. Lana has it posted in the Sioux City thread at the LPO. I love that picture; she has posted a closeup of it at the thread, and the way the artist drew it, trigger looks like a halo behind Willie. I admire people who can draw him, who even try. And she got to give it to him; so sweet.

    That is a Club Luck’s Tinydancer’s daughter.She did a great job.And I love the way they got the picture of her waiting to get Willie’s attention.
