Last June, in Austin for for Poodie’s Picnic at the BackYard, Cherie and I met up with Lisa and her family at the Pedernales Golf Course. It is such a beautiful place. The views are incredible. The pro shop is full of pictures of Willie Nelson that you can’t see anywhere else, awards, memorabilia. They also sell shirts and golf souvenirs. We didn’t golf, but we were kindly allowed to ride around and take pictures and enjoy the views.

Thanks for the tip, Linda. I don’t golf. I think I like to walk there, but maybe the area is too big. Is everybody allowed to rent a golf cart, even if they don’t golf?
That I don’t know the answer to, Monique. No one was golfing that day, it was so HOT; that’s probably why they let us do it. If folks are golfing they may say no. It would be a nice walk; the hills are steep. It was fun in the cart. It wouldn’t be to big to walk; it would be a good walk. Are there hills in Holland? Sorry, I don’t know your geography in the Hague.
I hope they allow me to walk around (if it’s not too dangerous with all those golf balls flying around
). We have one hill in the south of the country, close to Belgium and Germany. Where I live, there are dunes to protect us from the sea. I live below sea level, so when the Northsea gets angry, I have to run real fast … I’ll send you some pictures in the e-mail to show you what it looks like. I’ve been walking a lot in San Francisco, a couple of years ago. Are the hills at Pedernales as steep as they are in San Francisco?

Can one purchase pictures that are on display at Willie’s western town, golf club, etc? Is there a book of all his properties that has pictures of his family? I’m most interested in his biological family pictures.
Lana Nelson wrote a book that has lots of family pictures in it, called ‘Willie Nelson family album’. It shows up on ebay, and amazon.com from time to time. I don’t think the pictures are for sale at Luck, or the golf course.
