NEWS-SUN STAFF REPORTWAUKEGAN — Twelve-time Grammy Award winner Emmylou Harris, the country songstress known for her collaborations with everyone from Johnny Cash to Bruce Springsteen, has been scheduled for a single solo performance March 30 at the Genesee Theatre.

Harris toured last summer with Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler in support of their album “All the Roadrunning,” a tour that included a stop at Chicago’s Northerly Island Pavilion in late June. The Genesee performance is her only scheduled appearance in the Chicago area in 2007.In a career stretching back to her early 1970s work with Gram Parsons, Harris and her signature voice have produced duets or background vocals with an eclectic roster that includes Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs and Neil Young.Notable duets include “That Lovin’ You Feeling Again” with Roy Orbison; “Wild Montana Skies” with John Denver; “If I Needed You” with Don Williams; and “To Know Him is to Love Him” with Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt (from their 1987 album “Trio”).

Her solo work includes the singles “One of These Days,” “If I Could Only Win Your Love,” “Two More Bottles of Wine,” “(You Never Can Tell) C’est La Vie” and “Beneath Still Waters.”
