After a three year hiatus from the Nutmeg State, Farm Aid returned to the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford for its 36th iteration on Sept. 25, 2021.
The agricultural benefit is hosted yearly in order to raise awareness to the issues that modern-day farmers are facing in their local communities.
Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp and Margo Price, all of whom are Farm Aid board members, perform at the benefit every year while the supporting cast of musicians is always different. This year saw the likes of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Tyler Childers and Bettye LaVette join the lineup.

Aside musical performances, the Farm Aid organization also hosts its “Homegrown Village,” which features a variety of local farmers and exhibitors who bring interactive tools to allow concert goers to better understand the work and needs of farmers.
