Last of the Breed Debuts at Number Seven on Billboard Country Music Chart

Thursday, March 29, 2007 – The top three songs and albums on the Billboard song and album charts for the week ending April 7 remained the same, and that meant Kenny Chesney’s “Beer in Mexico” and Carrie Underwood’s “Some Hearts” were both still number one.Tim McGraw stayed second with “Last Dollar (Fly Away),” while Carrie Underwood’s “Wasted” was again third. Rascal Flatts moved up two to fourth with “Stand.” Martina McBride stayed put in fifth with “Anyway.”

Brad Paisley’s new single, “Ticks,” again was a big mover, going from 22nd to 17th. George Strait jumped 6 spots to 23rd with “Wrapped.”

On the album chart, Gary Allan was second again with his “Greatest Hits,” while Rascal Flatts was third with “Me And My Gang.” Taylor Swift was up one to fourth with her self-titled debut, while the Dixie Chicks were fifth with “Taking the Long Way.”

“Last of the Breed” from Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Ray Price debuted in seventh.
