New Brokeback Mountain Collectors’s DVD Features Includes Willie Nelson in the studio, recording “He was a Friend of Mine”

A new 2-disc collector’s edition of Brokeback Mountain loaded with special features and available on Jan. 23rd for the suggested retail price of $26.98.

Winner of three Academy Awards (including Best Director), the movie became a cultural phenomenon. Relive the sweeping epic that explores the lives of two young men, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, a ranch hand and a rodeo cowboy, who meet in the summer of 1963 and unexpectedly forge a lifelong connection.

The expanded version of the DVD includes Gustavo Santaolalla, who won an Oscar for the soundtrack, discussing the music included, and also featured are interviews with each of the featured artists and footage of Willie in the studio recording his touching version of Bob Dylan’s “He Was a Friend of Mine.”
