Nelson will be the first artist to play The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on back-to-back nights when he performs there March 15 and 16.
The country-music legend had already booked a show for March 16 at The Joint, which was announced recently. On Thursday, venue officials announced the addition of the March 15 show, and now his fans can plan their weekend around either a Friday or Saturday night show.
Tickets start at $45 and go on sale Thursday. They may be purchased online at tulsaworld.com/hardrockcasino, at The Joint box office or by calling 918-384-ROCK. All planning to attend the concerts must be 21 or older to enter the casino.
Nelson’s career spans more than 50 years, 66 studio albums, 96 singles and 25 No. 1 hit songs on U.S. charts.
His 2012 album “Heroes” featured covers of songs by artists as varied as Eddie Vedder, Bob Wills and Tom Waits and included guest appearances by his son Lukas Nelson, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Snoop Dogg, Jamey Johnson and Sheryl Crow.
Fans can also expect to hear a selection of his iconic hits like “On the Road Again,” “Always on My Mind,” “Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground,” “Blue Skies,” “Georgia on My Mind” and “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.”
