Tickets Still Available for Willie Nelson’s February 20, 2007 Concert in St. George, UT

ST. GEORGE — Business had slowed by 3:30 p.m. today at the Dixie State College box office inside the Cox Auditorium building where ticket sales began early this morning for country singer Willie Nelson’s Feb. 20 concert in St. George. The line dwindled to less than a dozen fans by late afternoon, a significant drop from the morning’s surge, which reportedly saw as many as 50 patrons per hour purchasing tickets. While ticket agents said they hadn’t had a chance to break from sales since 10 a.m., the late afternoon lull offered staff a brief repreive from the two windows and several phone lines that patrons had kept busy throughout the day.

As of 3:30 p.m., few floor tickets were still available and some seating nearest the floor were still open. Afternoon business didn’t appear steady enough to threaten a sold out show on the first day of ticket sales. Some fans had traveled from as far as Cedar City to purchase tickets stating that the phone lines were left unanswered. However, ticket agents at the window stated other agents have been manning the phones throughout the day.
