What’s Up With My BlogRoll?

Thought I would share a little of what what’s going on at some of the blogs I visit regularly, and have listed on my blogroll.  So here’s some cool things:

FarmAid http://www.farmaid.org/

Everyone knows FarmAid isn’t just an annual festival/fundraiser with some great singer songwriters and music.  But everytime I visit their website, I realize again what a great job they are doing as far as educating people about good food, sustainable living and how to reclaim our land and live peacefully.  If you haven’t been there, for a while, visit soon.  They have a membership based community called Barnyard, and right now Barnyard members can enjoy an interview with Dave Matthews.

The fine folks over at http://www.the9513.com/ Country Music have posted the sweetest picture of Joe Ely and information about his new album, Silver City, an album of ten songs he wrote between 1968 and 1972.

Also, they have posted a review of Gary Allan:  Greatest Hits, which looks like a good one for someone who isn’t familiar with his music to try.  It’s hard to keep up with all the country music goings on, and I find I rely on the9513 for timely news and great reviews.

http://hellocaitlint.wordpress.com/City Girl, Country Girl, gives me country music news I don’t always pick up on, but do enjoy reading it at her site.  Like, I first learned that Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s had a baby boy, and they named him William Hucklebery Paisley.  And her site told me who won the Nashville Star competition.   Plus, a thoughtful discussion about The Academy of Country Music nominations for the ACM Awards today and the fact that the Dixie Chicks were left out in the cold, despite their emmy overload.  Lots of other news to, information about upcoming releases and more.  Worth the visit!

http://www.kinkyfriedman.com/ posts information about a fundraiser he is taking part in:
