The sold-out show of Nelson and Lyle Lovett put about 4,000 people in the  bleachers and the Osprey infield, which will smell a bit like beer when the  players retake it later this week. In addition to the stage lightshow, the crowd  got treated to a lightning storm that framed the east side of the concert  scaffolding as it moved across the valley.

Nelson arrived in a custom highway bus that rolled across the outfield, right  to the stage stairs. He waved to the crowd, hopped the steps and within a  minute, started playing his trademark opener, “Whiskey River.”
