(This isn’t Willie’s designed brick, but I’d like to see his.)

The http://my.tennessean.com reports:

Willie Nelson is joining other artists in contributing brick designs for the second “If I had a Brick” auction benefiting the patients of the Dan Rudy Cancer Center at Saint Thomas Hospital.  Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, Jon Bon Jovi, as well as Vince Young and Keith Bulluck of the Tennessee and other artists and celebrities will also contribute their designed bricks.

“This event benefits the programs and facilities that we can offer our patients everyday at our cancer center,” said Virginia Brooks, director of the Dan Rudy Cancer Center.

“Funds will be used for an educational resource room for patients and their families, a community based facility for support sessions, and a variety of classes, nutritional counseling, massage therapy and a host of other patient centered services.”

The gala evening will be held April 19 at LP Field and will include live entertainment, a cocktail supper, and both a silent and live auction of these unique bricks embellished with designs, sculpture, mosaic, paint and autographs.

This year’s auction will also include beautiful hand painted and designed bricks from well-known artists like Sylvia Hyman, Phil Ponder, Paul Harmon and Joanne Jewett.
