SOUTH BEND — Willie Nelson performs at 7:30 p.m. June 14 at the Morris Performing Arts Center, 211 N. Michigan St.

Nelson, who turns 84 on April 29, has written hundreds of songs, including “Hello Walls,” “On The Road Again,” “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain” and “Pancho and Lefty.” He also has written several books and acted in several movies.

He also co-founded Farm Aid with John Mellencamp and The Highwaymen with Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jennings.

Nelson’s son, Lukas Nelson, and his band, The Promise of the Real, will open the show.

Tickets are $104-$54 and go on sale at noon Friday at the Morris and Audio Specialists in South Bend, Orbit Music in Mishawaka, and Karma Records in Plymouth and Warsaw; by phone at 574-235-9190; and online at morriscenter.org.
