There is no greater American treasure than Willie Nelson. He’s topped the charts in country, pop, adult contemporary and jazz music. His broad base of loyal fans eagerly follows his many musical changes. And his concerts are a communal gathering, a festive party atmosphere with no attitudinal separation between artist and audience. Nelson’s newest CD, “American Classic,” describes both the purity of the country songs it contains as well as the artist himself.
