Willie Nelson in talks for role in ‘The Big Valley’ movie

 

Willie Nelson mentioned on the Bill Mack radio show today (Willie’s Place/Sirius/XM Radio) that he had been approached about appearing in the movie being made of  television show, the Big Valley.  For all you young folks, this is the western that aired on ABC in the 1960’s.  The original television show starred Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Long, Linda Evans, and Lee Majors. 

Willie says that he has talked to Lee Majors about the movie, and that he was asked if he wanted to play the part of the Sheriff in the show.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, Susan Sarandan has been asked to play the role of Victoria Barkley, the role played  by Barbara Stanwyck on television.
