Within days of Chuck Berry’s Belfast concert, a second singer-songwriting legend is set to visit the city to keep music fans happy.

For Sunday’s local debut of The Mean Fiddler Fleadh Tour 2007 at the Odyssey Arena will be headlined by country superstar, Willie Nelson, accompanied by some family members.

And, as if that was not enough, this exciting concert also boasts an impressive line-up of international artists as special guests, including The Sharon Shannon Big Band, Damien Demspey and Eddi Reader – any of whom would be worth going to see in their own right.

Nelson has been making successful music for more than four decades and quickly became a cultural icon, before being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1993.

For many years the Mean Fiddler Fleadh was a major highlight in the music calendar for fans of the best of Irish and Americana Music.

From its initial home in Finsbury Park, London, The Fleadh has crossed the Atlantic for many memorable shows and is now finally making its local debut.
