Willie Nelson sings with PGA Tour Legend John Daly, “Whiskey and Water”

From his insanely long and unique swing, his massive drives, and his wild Diet Coke, beer, and cigarette addiction, and not to mention his badass mullet and ‘stache he used to rock back in the day, he’s far from your stereotypical perception of a pro golfer.

And to add to the “Most interesting golfer on the planet” list, the man can play country music too.

n fact, he recently dropped his second album, titled Whiskey & Water.

With it being Masters week and all, I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about the title-track of the album, which features no other than ol’ Willie Nelson himself.

Written by Brinley Addington, Tyler Reeve, and Luke Combs’ guitar player Rob Williford, Daly sings about how he’s friends with a preacher who doesn’t judge him for his actions, and every time he’s ready to put his full-throttle past life behind him, his old buddy Jack Daniel’s always finds a way to get in his ear.

Throw in Shotgun Willie’s feature, and not gonna lie, this is a damn good country song.

John said back in March in an interview with PGA Tour.com:

“We’ve been friends forever. I know “Whiskey and Water” is going to be played on the radio… because Willie’s on it.”
