He found it on ebay: Honeysuckle Rose

starting bid:  $20,000.00

This bus is one of four buses that were made for Willie Nelson.  It has a 6V92 turbo Detroit engine that was rebuilt in April 2007.  Front lounge has a 27” TV with AM/FM receiver  & CD player, Rear lounge has a 25” TV & CD player, restroom has toilet and lavatory, and the bunk area has 9 adjustable bunks.  Both A\C units work great for these hot summers.

It’s a nice ol’ bus with lots of history!”

Oh, T. Russell, we want to see pictures when you’re done.  And tell us what you have planned for it.  Let us know if you are going to take it to a Willie Nelson and Family show.  And what was the final bid, if you don’t mind me asking.

I was the original driver of this coach, built by Florida Coach in 1987. I drove it until 1993. It was never used by Willie in that time period. But was used on many other rock and roll tours.

This was actually a bus owned by Asleep at the Wheel. It was a bus that was built for Willie by Florida Coach but was never actually purchased by Willie. I spent many a nights on that bus when I was with Asleep at the Wheel.
