Willie Nelson duets with Juice Newton for new album

If you go to Amazon.com, you can hear about 6 seconds worth of the songs.   I don’t think I’ve ever heard ‘Ain’t it Funny’ sung as a duet before.  Have to think about it.  They sound great.  You can pre-order the album now. — Linda

Juice Newton, whose pop/country hits include ‘The Sweetest Thing (I’ve Ever Known)’ and ‘Angel of the Morning,’ is releasing a duet album featuring Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell and Gary Morris.

‘Duets: Friends and Memories,’ in stores November 16, will also include duets with the late Dan Seals, as well a pop singers Melissa Manchester and Frankie Valli as well as singer/songwriter Randy Meisner.

The album includes a number of pop standards such as ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin,’ which Juice sings with Melissa, ‘The Biggest Part of Me,’ which pairs her with Frankie, and ‘Up Where We Belong,’ on which she duets with Glen. Juice and Willie perform two of his tunes, ‘Funny How Time Slips Away’ and ‘Touch Me,’ and she and Randy perform his song ‘Take It to the Limit.’

“For me it was like making three records,” Juice says of the new album. “These singers are so wonderful and unique — I really wanted to be on my game. I lived with my headphones on, studying the songs and preparing my interpretations.”
