Country music icon Willie Nelson will serve as the headliner for the American Red Cross “Salute Our Troops” Pre-Race Show prior to the AAA Texas 500. Nelson will perform a 45-minute concert featuring his legendary songs on the frontstretch stage beginning at 12:30 p.m. CT. Nelson’s performance will be the feature act of the 2 ½-hour pre-race show leading up to the green flag of the AAA Texas 500.
Country music icon Willie Nelson will serve as the headliner for the American Red Cross “Salute Our Troops” Pre-Race Show prior to the AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov. 7, at Texas Motor Speedway.
“We’ve always wanted Willie Nelson to perform at ‘The Great American Speedway!’ since we opened and we are proud to finally land the country music icon,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “Having Texas’ most recognizable country music singer play for the largest sporting event in the Lone Star State is only appropriate.”
