Willie Nelson’s bus is like a magnet to us fans, I admit it. I’ve been known to jog across a parking lot see the bus drive in or drive out. I wonder if he grows tired of looking out his bus window and seeing all our faces looking up at him as he comes and goes.
I have been to shows in amphitheaters, like Red Rocks and like Telluride shows, where you can hear people cheer as Willie’s bus winds through the roads to the highway. It’s all dark, you can’t see anything as you walk to your car, but you can hear these roars in the distance, as his bus drives by the fans. It’s really cool.
