Ben Dorsey has a lot of fans! Ever since I posted about the dvd produced by Karl Kuenning, of www.Rodie.net. about Ben Dorcy, Willie Nelson’s roadie, folks have been sending me stuff about Ben! Articles, pictures, you-tubes. He should have a fan page on Facebook. Maybe he does. Mark Hughes, of the Willie Nelson & Friends Museum and General Store in Nashville, sent these.
“These images were taken during the “Ben Dorcy Day” on March 10, 1999. Waylon and several other artists turned out to proclaim Ben “a great among greats”.
The event was organized by Darrell & Mona McCall along with Frank & Jeanie Oakley. David McCormick of Ernest Tubb Record Shop hosted the event at the Troubadour Theater which is located just behind the Willie Nelson Museum.
