Poor Budrock! Budrock “The Illuminator” Prewitt, Lighting Director for Willie Nelson & Family, was injured working at a Willie Nelson show recently. He was performing something he routinely does every nightm getting off of a stage, but it was a perfect storm for a freak accident, resulting in a broken heel, broken or sprained ankle, and who knows what else. (They have to wait for the swelling to go down to see how bad everything is. Ouch! Just typing that hurts. It’s got to be hard for anyone as active and Budrock is.

Buddy has been to the emergency room, and doctors and specialists, poked and prodded; now he is waiting for the swelling to go down, so a prognosis diagnosis can be done. He is in a lot of pain.
I talked to him last week, and his spirits are amazingly high for the seriousness of the accident.
“I’m discovering new colors for the shows; interesting shades of Black and Blue and Purple and Green.”
“My socks are lasting twice as long.”
