Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Jason Mraz, and Dave Matthews are slated to highlight the 26th annual Farm Aid, which hits the LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 13.
Since 1985, Farm Aid has brought together some of the biggest names in music to raise money for independent farmers in danger of losing their land and businesses.
Over the years, Farm Aid has raised over $39 million to support and strengthen the family farm system.
And the threat is just as great now as it was when the event was launched. Family farms are struggling to exist, constantly threatened by large factory farms that aim to push them off their land. The turmoil shuts down some of the country’s best stewards of our soil, air, water, and biodiversity of the land.
