The farmers representative
Here is another photo entered in Farm Aid’s Fresh Farm Pics contest. This photo was submitted by John, of Richfield, MN. John said this about his photo:
“I combined the cover of epic life with the american flag. I think Willie is a great representative for the farmer. Willie is very envolved in the environment, animals,biodiesel. **FARMERSFARMERSFARMERS*”
There are some beautiful pictures at the site: farmers, families, food, animals — the panarama of Americana. Farm Aid is sponsoring a fundraiser/contest, where people can enter photos, and then people can go and vote on their favorite pictures. The picture that gets the most votes, wins air fare, hotel and FRONT ROW TICKETS to the Farm Aid Concert in St. Louis, Missouri on October 4, 2009. You can vote for your favorite picture by making a donation to Farm Aid, minimum donation $5.00; one dollare = one vote.
As it turns out, I entered a photo in the contest, too, hoping to win those front row seats! Thanks to all who voted, Willie Doll and I are on the Leaders Board. We hope you vote for us; we’d love to sit in the front row at Farm Aid, and every dollar donated goes to benefit Farm Aid.
