The last time I saw Willie Nelson at the Fillmore, which was almost exactly this time last year, I sat next to Hollywood star Luke Wilson. We never did get around to discussing his finer slices of cinema verite, such as 2003’s “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde” and 2006’s “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” but we sure talked a lot about Willie.
Everybody, you see, loves Willie Nelson. You might think you don’t, but that’s probably only because you’ve yet to see him in concert. And it’s hard to understand why that might be the case — he tours, like, 389 days a year.
