This Sunday, March 18, Colorado’s Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol is holding its first major event since qualifying for the ballot – an activist boot camp for anyone who is interested in getting involved with the campaign.
Just announced: Joining us at the event will be former two-term Republican governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson, a long-time supporter of ending marijuana prohibition and a recent endorser of the initiative.
Boot camp is this Sunday, March 18, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Casselman’s in Denver (2620 Walnut St.). If you are interested in helping out and volunteering for the campaign, we strongly encourage you to attend this important event. At the boot camp we will present our game plan, go over some of the resources that will be made available to supporters, and provide useful materials that can be taken back to communities around Colorado. A light lunch will also be available from 12 p.m. until the event begins at 12:30 p.m.
Attention women! Just prior to the boot camp there will be a one-hour seminar and light lunch from 11 a.m. to noon, during which we will specifically address the importance of outreach to women voters and discuss some plans for moving forward. This will be a volunteer-driven grassroots campaign and we need as many people as possible to get involved at the local level to carry out activities that will build support for ending marijuana prohibition. Attending the 2012 campaign boot camp is a critical first step, so please register today!
