Willie’s Remedy introduces a fresh lineup of hemp-infused coffee in time for Fall. With the changing season comes a renewed mission and more flavor to savor. Colombian and Nicaraguan sourced coffee blends combine old coffee traditions and new mission-based initiatives. Now available in Light Roast, Medium Roast and Dark Roast, as whole beans or conveniently pre ground.
The Colombian beans come from the Colombia Risaralda Co-Op. An early leader in coffee co-ops, they have been supporting and elevating their communities since 1959. Through their work, they’ve advanced the ability for farmers to own their own coffee and support their own communities for more than 60 years.
The Nicaraguan beans comes from the SOPPEXCCA Co-Op. Comprised of 650 producers from the northern province of Jinotega, it is one of the highest quality coffee co-ops in the world. It is fair-trade certified and has an extremely high female membership with the goal to further create more opportunities for women, their families and their communities.
Aside from being able to offer an option for those who enjoy a lighter roast, Willie’s Remedy’s new coffees allow Willie Nelson and family, who have inspired the brand, to further their commitment to supporting farmers by working with coffee cooperatives who are doing great things for their local economies. The triangular-shaped pyramid bags provide enough space to keep the whole leaves, flowers and botanicals intact so they do not need to be cut like with other tea bags, preserving freshness and flavor. They are plastic-free, and are made from a unique quick-composting material that will not absorb the helpful hemp.
