Thanks so much to Janine Holter for her great photos she took at the Willie Nelson & Family show in Duluth, Minnesota last night. There was so much love in the crowd, Willie sending love out to the fans and the fans going crazy to see him.
It was a beautiful venue, Bayfront Festival Park, right on Lake Superior. The lake was beautiful and a full moon rose up behind the stage. It was magical. The place was packed, and people came to celebrate Willie. The crowd stood for most all of the show, loving all the hits, only sitting down at the end. The guy beside me said, he didn’t know Willie was such an amazing guitar playing, he knew the music and loved the songs, but was blown away by Willie’s guitar work. I think lots of people fell that way, when they get to see him for the first time. What a guitar genius he is.
I feel so, so lucky I got to see them again.
Venue is right on the lake. It was a little chilly, with wind coming off the lake, but no one seemed to mind, and it got warmer when the venue filled up with fans and started dancing.
There was a full moon over Lake Superior that was so beautiful.
