Farm Aid Board Member Dave Matthews introduced Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real
Lukas Nelson was everywhere at Farm Aid. He performed three sets: his own music with his band Promise of the Real, then Neil Young hits and new music with Neil Young and the Promise of the Real, and closed out the night with Willie Nelson and Family.
Lukas, along with his family, has been attending Farm Aid and supporting their good work since he was born, or maybe before. (I’d have to look up dates and do the math, but I don’t have time.) But anyway, Lukas continues donating his time and energies to support family farmers and the clean food movement. (That’s just good parenting.)
His hair was up, his hair was down, his hair was up. No costume changes, but it wouldn’t have surprised me, he was working so hard. He has so much energy. During the day he was walking through the crowd. He was everywhere.
