I’m happy to say that Paula and the band will do a show in Boulder on their spring tour! Right down the block from my work, at Shine, a restaurant/community gathering place operated by three sisters, Jennifer, Jessica and Jill Emich. The sisters used to run Trilogy, another successful restaurant/music venue in Boulder, which they closed several years ago. Shine has only been open for a few months, but the sisters have already created a welcome atmosphere, promising a good time. Their kitchen is gluten free, they offer a “locally and organic focused conscious comfort food” — you don’t get much more Boulder than that, do you.
The band returns to the Little Bear, in Evergreen on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. The fans are crazy about the band there, and those shows are always crowded and fun. And everytime I’ve seen Paula and the band, some party from another event, a wedding, or some other party, would come en mass into the Little Bear, and it got even more crowded. Get there early for a good table on the floor near the stage.
The show’s on a weekend, take a drive up the mountain, get a bite to eat, breathe the fresh Colorado air, look at all the fancy houses, and then hear some great music from Paula and the band and dance! That’s what I call a good time.
The band plays in Carbondale, Colorado again, at Steve’s Guitars, on April 27th. The Oskar Blues’s in Lyons and Longmont both want Paula and the Band to play on every trip through the area. So they will play the Oskar Blues in Lyons on May 4th, and at he Oskar Blues in Longmont on May 5th.
