Austin, TX — Texas artists W.C. Clark, Paula Nelson, Dale Watson and more will play a benefit concert in January to help Austin fitness trainer/boxing coach Ann Wolfe find a permanent home for the gym for her Ann’s Wolfe Pack program for underprivileged youths.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and music continues until 2 a.m. at Antone’s, 213 W. Fifth St. Admission to the benefit concert is $20; information: 512.320.8424.
In addition to Clark, Nelson and Watson, also scheduled to perform are Randy Weeks, Waylon Payne, Ramsay Midwood, David Holt, Tommy Shannon and Matt Hubbard. A number of items will be featured in a live auction also to raise funds.
Wolfe is the first woman in professional boxing to hold eight titles in four different weight classes, more world titles than anyone — male or female — in the history of the sport. Her work coaching underprivileged youth is helping her manifest her dream of bringing diverse economic communities together through fitness and teaching empowerment to young and old, rich and poor. To fully achieve the dream, Ann’s Wolfe Pack needs a permanent location for its gym.
