#Road2FarmAid!

road2

I am on that road!  When I left work tonight, it really hit me that I am on the road to Farm Aid.  It is so exciting.  It is my favorite musical event of the year, next to seeing Willie Nelson & Family at Red Rocks, of course.    But just reading the list of musicians who will perform, and you understand how the venue sold out immediately.   There are people who go every year, and in fact, I think once you go to a Farm Aid, you never want to miss another one.  So the music:  full sets by Farm Aid Board Members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, and I mean full sets.  Plus over a dozen other talented, entertaining singer/songwriters who have donated their time to support family farmers and help ensure that our families have good food to eat.

Farmers are on hand to talk with people about their experience with farming, and what the land and raising good food means to them.  And there is so much to learn at Farm Aid’s HomeGrown Village, where dozens of organizations and businesses present their ideas about how we can live sustainably, eat healthy food, protect our land, save our economy through employment.  And so much more!   It is really one of the most uplifting, positive experiences you can have.
