Willie Nelson, “Here Comes Santa Clause”

On November 22, 1946 Gene Autry rode in the Santa Claus Lane parade in Hollywood, with Roy Rogers, Jack Benny and Red Skelton. When Autry hears children shout, “Here comes Santa Claus,” he’s inspired to write “Here Comes Santa Claus (Down Santa Claus Lane)”
